  I cannot say enough about Barb and Barnic Dobermans. Our girl is a little over two years old and is the joy of our lives. She is truly our fourth daughter. Barb knew which puppy from which parents would fit into our household. She is very knowledgeable and I still ask questions. Bristol is on guard from the moment she wakes up. She has a spot by the window and she truly wants to protect us. She has been trained and was a very quick learner. She is also very loving and goofy. I am so happy to have found Barb! She also has a wonderful group of owners that she adds us to so we get to see pictures and give support. I actually get to see a few of Bristol's brothers and sisters grow up with her. You cannot go wrong by having a Barnic!

  My wife and I have shared our home with eight Dobermans over 35 years. Our puppy from Barnic, Friedrich der Große, is already, at 11 months, clearly one of the two best Dobermans with whom we've shared our lives. Barb and Nick breed good dogs, and Barb is unsurpassed at outreach. Barnic is a five-star kennel; I would consider it among the very few best five-star kennels, possibly the very best for Dobermans. That said a word of caution: Barnic Dobermans are all very loving, very intelligent, and very high-energy. The Doberman Pinscher is a loving, intelligent, high-energy breed, and Barnic Dobermans are bred to maximize these positive traits. That creates dogs who need lots of exercise and attention, more than most Dobermans. Friedrich der Große and I are rarely apart, no more than four hours a week most weeks, and he is never alone. I am retired, and I can make that time for him. But if you don't have that time--or if you don't have a place for your Doberman to run and jump--talk to Barb before committing to a Barnic Doberman. She'll guide you on puppy selection (Friedrich der Große was a feisty puppy, but from one of her calmer litters) and she'll let you know if your circumstances aren't a match for her puppies.
